Description
At BC Building Products we supply Styrofoam Brand Roofmate XPS insulation for protected membrane roofs and green roofs. It is the board we would put above the waterproofing membrane on a heavyweight deck, under gravel ballast or concrete slabs, where the membrane needs to be kept at a steady temperature and shielded from traffic during and after construction.
The board is extruded polystyrene lined with half inch by quarter inch drainage channels on the bottom long edge, which lets water move under the boards. It resists moisture and does not rot, so it can be reused if the roof is opened up again. Standard sizes run 1 to 4 inches thick in 2 ft by 8 ft boards, giving R-5 to R-20, and other sizes are available by region.
We stock it for inverted roof and green roof assemblies and can pull the current technical data sheet and safety data sheet with your quote.
