Drainage Board & Foundation Drainage – BC

Waterproofing keeps water out, and drainage takes the pressure off it. A drainage board or dimpled membrane on a foundation wall gives groundwater a path down to the footing drain instead of letting it build up against the wall. At BC Building Products we supply drainage boards and foundation drainage membranes for residential basements, deep commercial foundations, retaining walls, planters and plaza decks across BC.

We stock a range that runs from dimpled membranes for homes to high-capacity composite drainboards for commercial and civil work. Brands include Delta (Dörken), Tremco TREMDrain, DMX, J-DRAIN and EPRO.

Residential foundations

DELTA-MS is a vacuum-formed dimpled membrane that creates an air gap between the membrane and the foundation, letting water drain and keeping it off the wall. DELTA-DRAIN Vertical and DMX Drain 5X are common choices for below-grade walls on homes.

Commercial and deep foundations

For higher flow and loads, Tremco TREMDrain 6000X is a multi-composite drainage and protection board with a 10 mm dimple core and geotextile fabric on both sides. DELTA-DRAIN 6000 HI-X and 9000 HI-X are made for applications that need high drainage capacity. DMX Drain 15X and 18X are recommended for deep foundation, retaining, caisson and planter walls.

Blindside and horizontal drainage

EPRO e.drain 6000 is used on the negative side of blindside shoring walls, on over-excavated walls and over plaza decks. J-DRAIN 400 Series is a flexible horizontal drainage mat that protects waterproofing and moves water across horizontal surfaces.
