Traffic & Parkade Deck Coatings – BC

Parkades, ramps, podium decks and balconies take a beating from tires, foot traffic, de-icing salts and the West Coast’s wet weather. A traffic deck coating system is what waterproofs the slab and protects the concrete underneath. At BC Building Products we supply complete vehicular and pedestrian coating systems to waterproofing applicators and restoration contractors across British Columbia.

We stock multi-component systems from Tremco (Vulkem and TREMproof PUMA), Sika (Sikalastic) and Polycoat, plus the primers, crack-repair products and concrete patching materials that go with them. Systems are made up of several coats, often a base coat, an intermediate coat and a top coat, so we supply every component together to keep you within the manufacturer’s system.

Vehicular systems for parkades

For parkade slabs and ramps we carry Tremco Vulkem 360NF/950NF/950NF, a modified polyurethane traffic deck coating system with a 360NF base coat, a heavy-duty 950NF intermediate coat and a 950NF top coat, and Vulkem 360NF/951NF. We also carry Terapro vehicular waterproofing and surfacing systems, Poly-I-Gard 246 and 295, and Polyglaze 100.

Pedestrian systems for balconies and decks

For balconies, walkways and podium decks we supply Tremco Vulkem 350/351, a two-coat polyurethane system with a UV-stable top coat, and Vulkem 350FC/950NF/951NF. We also stock Polycoat PC-220 base membrane and PC-260, and Sikalastic M 200, M 270 NP, TC 225 HT and TC 275.

Fast-cure PUMA technology

When downtime matters, TREMproof PUMA Horizontal is a cold-applied polyurethane methacrylate (PUMA) system for waterproofing concrete slabs. The TREMproof PUMA Flashing System handles the details. Ask about the Tremco Vulkem hybrid (PUMA/polyurethane) systems too.

Surface prep and repair

Coatings depend on the concrete under them. We also carry concrete repair mortars and crack-injection products (see Concrete Repair and Crack Repair) so the slab is ready before the base coat goes down.
